A Message from Our Founder

"AI is a tool, and like any tool, it can be used for good or for ill. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that as we develop this powerful technology, we do so with a deep and abiding respect for human values, ethics, and well-being. HumanityOverAI was founded on the principle that technology should serve humanity, not the other way around. We are committed to fostering a future where AI is a force for positive change, empowering people and creating a more just and equitable world."

Our Approach

Most other organizations spend their time focusing on political policy changes and a specific niche of AI problems. Our approach is to simplify this for the public by creating an easy pathway for people to support the broader cause of ethical AI. We operate on a mixed model: a core team guides our long-term strategy and a project-based structure allows us to tackle specific problems with agility.

Key Issues

Job Displacement

Researching and advocating for policies that support workforce transitions and create new opportunities in an automated world.

Algorithmic Bias

Creating open-source solutions and promoting standards to ensure fairness and equity in machine learning models.

Deepfakes & Identity

Developing tools and frameworks to combat non-consensual deepfakes and protect personal identity from malicious use.

Misinformation

Building systems to detect and flag AI-generated misinformation, and educating the public on media literacy.

Autonomous Systems

Advocating for international treaties and ethical guidelines to prevent the development and use of Lethal Autonomous Weapons (LAWs).
